Spirit Voices

In 1996, our two friends Yvonne and Brian, invited us to go to a Church with them. It was a Church we had never been to before. However we went on several occasions, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We went to this Church for almost 4 years. It was whilst going to this Church that the four of us decided to form our own circle, and that we would sit at our home.  In all honesty, things were rather quiet to begin with, we just sat in quiet meditation. 

On one of our visits to this new Church, I had a message from a Medium that those on the other side wanted me to sit with a Tape Recorder. The following week I went along again for a private reading, but this time with a different medium. The Church were having some kind of fete, and were raising funds. 

The Medium said that I was to sit quietly with a tape recorder in the recording mode. I did this for about 60 minutes, i.e. the length of the tape. I never heard a thing. I sat for some weeks, still nothing. I felt like something of a nut, as I seemed to be recording nothing! 

On one of our visits to the Church on a Saturday evening, a visiting Medium spoke of me sitting with a tape machine. I said that was me, but I wasn't getting anything. She said, "Rewind the tape and play it back." 

The following week I did just that, and I couldn't believe what I heard!

"We come in love, peace, and truth " a voice said. There were more words spoken, and my wife and I listened intently. However, as there was a lot of 'white' noise on the tape, it was difficult to hear clearly. I sent a letter to the Institute of Psychical Research, and they put me in touch with a lady in Southern Ireland.

This lady had set up the E.V.P. (Electronic Voice Phenomena) Society. Here was I, thinking that I was unique in getting these spirit voices on tape, and there were hundreds of people all around the world who were getting the self same thing! This lady asked me if I would send her the tapes to be enhanced. I think she had better equipment than me, so I duly sent the tapes, and she sent them back, with transcripts. I still have the tapes.

 Shortly afterwards the voices stopped completely.

The Spirit World had achieved their objective,which was to get me interested in direct voice communication. Books have been written demonstrating how to get tape recording communications. I found it better to have a battery operated tape recorder (i.e. not one plugged into the mains.)

Also, I found it best to have it fixed up with an external microphone. Sit quietly at the side of the microphone, in the dark or light, it matters not (as far as I am aware.) Put the recorder in the 'record' mode, sit back until the tape reaches the end, rewind the tape,and play it back.

 In our small circle we decided to sit around a table, so we sat quietly for some time, but nothing happened. Of course in our ignorance we didn't know that to sit quietly was defeating the object. We were speaking to a man and his wife one evening in Church. They were (and still are) both good Mediums. Both are actively doing platform work. They said they would come over to our place and advise us, which they duly did.

 We had been sitting in our circle at this time, for about three years. Of course any thoughts we were having, we were voicing them, and my wife was coming on a treat, she was impressed with some brilliant proof, and also told things which happened at a later date.

 However, I digress. The two Mediums came to our home in August 1998. The room was in total darkness. A prayer was said, asking among other things for guidance and protection, and the circle began. I couldn't believe it, the Mediums were singing songs like, "It's a long way to Tipperrary" "She'll be coming round the Mountain" "The Grand Old Duke of York" and other rousing songs. Of course we all joined in.

 After a few songs the table started moving one way and then the other. We had an aluminium trumpet on the table, and as the table tipped over onto its side, the trumpet remained where it was! The spirit people were obviously controlling the table and the trumpet. It is a fairly heavy table,and it positively spun around. 

The Mediums then asked if anyone (on the other side) wished to say a few words, using the table as a focal point. The table moved to me, indicating that they had a message for me.The way the Mediums worked seemed very laborious to me. One of the Mediums asked if their initials came "between A and M"... (no movement.) Initials between N and Z? The table moved. "Is your first initial N ?"...(no movement) is it O? etc.

Still nothing, andthis went on until the letter T was reached, and that was accepted. And that was the pattern of communication. Remember,the room was in total darkness, so now you may be thinking, Ha! .. but how are you sure that the table was not being pushed by one of the sitters? A plausible thought. Before the closing prayer, one of the Mediums asked those on the other side if they would move the table with the light on. They indicated that they would.

 After the closing prayer the lights were put on, the Mediums asked us to stand away from the table, which we did, and then asked those in Spirit to move the table. It moved a couple of feet one way,then moved back! No one touched the table, no one near the table.

 And that was our first experience of table movement. 

The following week the table moved for the first time for us, and did it move! We were elated. Oh Yes. It also moved with the lights turned on.

 The way we run our circle, having progressed in our developement, we sing the alphabet song. (Remember it?) A.. your adorable, B.. you're so Beautiful, C.. you're a cutiful of charm. (Showing my age now!)

When we come to certain letters, my wife hears the name of the person, or she "sees" it. She likens it to having the words written on a blackboard, and sometimes she gets pictures in her mind also. 

For some years now I have been told by Mediums and various circles that they want to take me in Trance. I have already had this in a small way, but now I think that "they" are going a different way. For instance, I awoke one morning just a few weeks ago, and I was speaking in a deep voice. It was so strange, I tried to wake my wife to tell her to listen to what was being said. Of course I couldn't. I felt tingling around my throat, and my voice was in fact being controlled.

 The experiences that I have had over the years are too numerous for this website. Seeing balls of light floating around the room, my Mother, who passed over 45 years ago, standing, smiling at me in the corner of the room. Many wonderful things.

 The events that have happened in my life (i.e. psychic events) are nothing compared to what some people (psychics or otherwise) have experienced. Nevertheless (and I speak for each of us) we treasure and cherish this link that we have established with our friends in the Spirit World.

 The Holy Bible says, "Knock, and the door will be opened." "Seek and you will find."  Well, I knocked, and the door certainly opened for me! I sought and I certainly found. The Circle is on-going. So too is this website.
